Project Overview
This project involved the ground-up construction of a detached accessory dwelling unit. The design maximized square footage while maintaining privacy. Modern finishes ensured comfort and durability. Efficient planning met all zoning and building requirements.
The Challenge
Limited lot space required careful planning. Utility connections needed independent routing. The homeowners wanted seamless exterior integration. Local compliance regulations required strict adherence.
The Solution
We designed a compact yet open layout with efficient room flow. Separate plumbing and electrical systems ensured autonomy. Exterior finishes matched the primary residence. The build process followed all permitting guidelines.
The Result
The completed ADU offers comfortable, private living space. Rental potential provides long-term financial benefits. The structure blends naturally with the main home. Property value increased significantly.
Before and After Transformation
Painted exterior of house, replacing rotten wood, caulking, priming, and power washing beforehand. Assembled and hung up a new porch swing, and installed 2 new porch lights. They didn’t charge extra for the porch swing or light installation! Super grateful because they knew I was on a small, fixed income.
